...development of the Hunger Games? If you haven't seen/read Battle Royale, it's a Japanese film about a class of students who are forced to kill one another. The last one surviving is the winner. It's a lot more graphic than the Hunger Games, but the two texts have a lot of similarities. Did Collins ever mention that she was inspired by Battle Royale?
