Did something to my ankle, no swelling

Yesterday, I stepped off a step and did something to my ankle. I dont exactly know what happened, how I landed on it or whatever, but there was a very audible pop. I couldnt walk on it, and I was in extreme pain for about twenty minutes. There was NO swelling, and the pain went down for the night. I woke up this morning, and there was still no swelling, but the joint is very stiff, and I feel a strong, stabbing pain in my ankle. I can move it up fine. Down hurts, left or right hurts. I can wiggle my towes and I can put minimal pressure on it. No swelling, whatsoever.

Okay, the "no swelling" is a little weird. Still, the fact that you can't walk and you're having substantial pain means you should get it checked out. Call your doctor in the morning if you have one, or go to the ER. Meanwhile, don't try to walk on it.
