was a gift to Pres. Bush.? The bust was a gift to President George W. Bush and was left in the White House as part of the collectibles from dealings with other countries. President Obama sent it back to England because he did not like what Churchill stood for. Conservative values.
 
Incorrect, it wasn't because of conservative values, as Prime Minister of the British Empire he ordered the crushing of the Mau Mau rebellion in Kenya. During which time Obama's paternal grandfather was tortured by the Imperial authorities.

That's why Obama had the bust removed.

Also, Winston Churchill is the only foreigner to have a United States Navy ship named after him, right now anyways.
 
It was a loan not a gift, and Churchill was prime minister during the Mau Mau rebellion in Kenya. It's possible that the British may have tortured Barack Obama's grandfather like a prisoner in Guantanamo.
