My son who is 26 enlisted in the army when he was 18 and leave shortly after he graduated high school. He went in as a infantry and has been deployed two time that I knew of but then he pretty much stop talking to us.
I know he wasn't exactly happy living at home with the family and pretty much resent the family for numerous reasons, so he rarely get ahold of us and if he did, he usually doesn't talk much about his life at all.
However he did came to visit the family for first time in four years. At first it seems like he left the military, he no longer have the clean crispy looks or anything like that. His hair is longer and he have a long stubbles. During four days he was here, he shaved only once. But he is still in a very good shape and my husband and his friends have says he defitinely has been active.
When we asked him if he's still in the military, he says yes but didn't elborate anything beside being vulgar and brushes the questions aside or change the subject.
We are confused about everything. I'm also really concerned about him, I'm afraid he must have got discharged or something and probably doesn't have a job or anything and probably wouldn't even ask if he need any help. But yet at the same time my husband is sure he's still in but cannot explain the long hair and not shaving as often as he used to.
Could he still be in the military or did he got discharged already?
