Did Jesus go before Augustus Caesar or Pontius Pilute? (sp)?

If Jesus and Augustus were in affect the same man who is the Augustus mentioned at Luke 2? Some people have not been told that both Julius Caesar and Octavian Caesar were Augustus. Whether "Augustus" and "Caesar' were names or titles depends on whose book you are reading. So please go to the next answer.
