I recently read about the life of Siddh?rtha Gautama(Buddha people, Buuuuddha). And I have noticed the striking similarities between him and Jesus. Like going out into the wilderness alone, supernatural abilities, the way they both gave their sermons and the "do no harm" philosophy. I probably could go on and on about the similarities.
Another interesting thing is in artwork you see both having halo/light emitting from their heads. Strange thing is that after I read about Buddha(Buddha means "the enlightened one"), the teachings of Jesus Christ make more sense.
So do you think Jesus gained what we would term as enlightenment?
