Did I buy a good car? Toyota Camry 2003? Transmission Problem?

I recently bought a Toyota Camry 2003, 4 Cylinder Engine, with about 82,000 miles for about $7,000 (I think it probably was more). Anyways, after I bought it, I had a oil change done on it and they did check other fluids in the engine. The transmission fluid apparently was very dark and needed a change, so right now I am waiting for the order to come in to change it. I was told by a car guy that the transmission fluid for that car was darker anyways, and it would be very unusual for a Toyota to have a transmission problem, as long as I changing fluids when the times comes. So can anyone tell me if it seems like it was a good buy? And if you can foresee a problem in the future with my transmission?

The car itself seems find just that the price you are paying for it is a little too much (in my opinion, and I live in NYC). For 7000$ you can get a Honda with a little less mileage, maybe 50k or so. Both Hondas and Toyotas are both reliable cars, so either way you'll be fine. If you plan to keep this car for long term, you won't regret it.
