its a question i have always asked myself and think hitler needed the war to save germany from going under. yes he got germany out of the depression but in truth germany wouldn't have lasted on its own even with the germanic speaking provinces he annexed. he needed a war just like america did because the war in europe saved america.
i would say that without the war hitler sorry to put it bluntly but he was well screwed because germany needed other resources to keep on its feet and that meant conquering other lands.
