Did he lose interest or trying to throw the ball in my court?

I had a few dates with this guy...things were going really smooth and then he stopped constantly texting and calling me. after a day of this, i called him and had to end the convo short and said, " call me back", he said, "no you call me back". What does this mean? If he wants the ball in my court, how do i deal with that? I'm pretty shy and not good at reaching out.
 
Honestly, he's not interested in you anymore. I was having the same problem yesterday.
