Did Freddy Rodriguez workout only one side of his body for his role in Lady in the

Water or was it CGI? Freddy Rodriguez played the character Reggie (the Guardian) in Lady in the Water. As part of a "scientific experiment" he only worked out one side of his body. Was it just special effects, or was it real?
 
that was def CGI. it is physically impossible to naturally get your body to look like that (im sure you could with surgery)...not to mention it is very difficult to work out only one side of your body, since most workouts utilize muscles over your entire body...you can "target" what muscle you want to enhance, but many other muscles are also working at the same time....
