but it took some twisted zealots like the taliban per say, to distort the real Islam ? a bit of 'pick and choose' whats suitable ?
likewise i'm sure 'dance' was a very Islamic art, fast forward to today and they say its 'haram' for a muslim woman to 'dance'.
Saudi Arabia are the epitome of the type of Islam I detest - they preach a distorted, somewhat twisted analogical version of the TRUE religion which is decorated by the poetry, literature and the arts.
for thousands and thousands of years Islam flourished through those medium, not just through the sword and the forceful conversion of indfidels but through those means.
In actual fact, Islam during its golden era was a peaceful, tolerant well educated society not just a religion.
But what has happened to it today ?
In the medieval era - Christians were envious of the Islamic nations, and their way of life and their culture because it was flourishing at unpresidented levels.
Lot of art and poetry was stolen and/or adapted by the white folk christians eventualy.
And today, Islam is being vindicated by all other mainstream faiths and is associated, goes hand in hand with 'terrorism'.
why ? what happened ?
was it that some bad minority took over hte religion, perversed and destroyed it and nurtured a new generation of twisted minded ppl ?
They are an insult to those from thousands of years ago who DID make Islam flourish - Look at the state of Iraq.
This is the cause of radical Islam, NOT sensible or Intelligent Islam.
