I was outside with a friend in Monroe, NY at about 6 30 am and we saw the sky flash green for about 3 seconds. The whole sky lit up different shades of green.. it wasn't brighter in one spot of the sky then the other. the whole sky was a solid green. immediatly after it ended there was a loud machine like noise (almost sounded like a generator) off in the distance that lasted about 4-5 seconds. This is one of the strangest things I've ever seen and I'm wondering if anyone else witnessed this.
I've googled "flashing green sky" and it says that it's a sign that a tornado is coming... it was very cloudy out and the sky was grey before and after the flashing lights happened and no storm happened afterwards.. it was actually a nice calm day today.
