Around 7pm central time, I took the dog outside. I saw an extremely bright star in the sky which I took to be Venus. I stared at it for about a full minute. It was in a south by southwest position in the sky and it never moved. I guess I thought that in connection with the recent conjunction that Venus was just brighter temporarily. One hour later I went back outside and that same bright "star" was NOWHERE to be found in the sky! Did anyone else see this? (Serious replies ONLY!)
