A friend of mine and her husband are expecting a little boy soon. While out the other day we got to discussing childbirth and the topic of circumcision came up. My husband and I chose not to circumcise our son when he was born. We are not religious and personally we find it to be an archaic ritual. But I digress.
This friend of mine was talking about how she and her husband are actually receiving a lot of negativity over their decision to not circumcise their son. After having this discussion with some other friends who didn't circumcise their boys, I found many of them suffered from the same negative reactions.
Any person with half a brain can lift back a foreskin and clean it. It's not a complicated procedure and at three years old my son hasn't had a problem whereas I know several parents whose children had lasting problems due to circumcision.
Besides this is not a discussion on whether or not to circumcise it simply is a discussion on whether as a parent your felt forced to circumcise.

I find it curious that you jump to bashing someone. It shows you aren't secure as a person.
I simply found it odd that so many parents felt pressure to circumcise their children.
