Diamondback mountain bike help?

Well, I bought this bike about a year ago.

Can you tell me, if it was a good purchase for 200?
I don't know much about bikes, but I'm planning on riding on trails, etc. And how is it on the road?
Just tell me if it was worth the buy or if there was something better and and it handles, etc.
 
If you bought it a year ago you should know by now if it was a good purchase or not.

I have a 1989 or so Diamondback with no absorbers and I will not sell it for 400 bucks and that is more than I paid for it.

On the road, with knobby tires and shocks it will not do that well, that is what you need a road bike for.
