So I've been doing a little bit research online about the Dexter T.V series. And I've heard several different rumors about whats going to happen as far the show continuing. One of them is that their will be a season 5 and season 6 and that will be the end of the series but once again that's just hearsay from unreliable sources. The other thing is that they don't know how many seasons there will be. They are just going to keep going until people stop watching.
To me the second one seems more logical. From my understanding Dexter is one of the most successful television shows ever. So it wouldn't make any sense to end the series as soon as 2 season's away, Unless the writers just run completely out of idea's and decide they just can't go any further with the show. But that to seems unlikely. Anyway I love the show and hope they keep going with it, well past season 6. I have to admit season 4 left a major cliff hanger, and season 5 looks to be going in a new direction. Hopefully it will come out great.
