I recently learned that I have a bone spur growth resulting in a deviated septum. I also have allergies to dust mites and gett very painful bouts of ear pain/fullness/pressure as a result. The ENT believes that if the deviated septum is repaired then the mucus that is trapped can drain and the ear pain will be improved. I have been doing allergy shots for nearly a year and noticed very minimal improvement with them, so I'm strongly considering the surgery. Anyone have an experience similar to this? Thanks.

Yes, it will help with the congestion/drainage issue. be sure you understand that it won't lessen your allergies per se.

If you have this procedure done, I really hope it works for you. This procedure did not help me at all as my ENT said it would. However, my septum was minimally deviated.
