Just seen a trailer about it not seen it before, looks like a Pixar film. I know there are advanced screenings on so has anyone seen it yet?

No i haven't but i'm bored senseless of that film. They've been showing one particular trailer for it for about 5 months at least. If you go to the cinema a lot like I do it actually starts to bore you and makeyou less interested in the film.

Visually it's a very pretty film. It also has some of the best use of 3D yet to be seen. The idea of having a villain as your main character is a nice twist too but unfortunately it reverts to syrupy goo all too quickly.

Review here.

Saw it at a preview a couple of weeks ago.

Enjoyed it. It does get a bit syrupy but that's typical of a lot of animation. Worth seeing for the minions - they're very funny.

I saw a trailer on the cinema for this absolutely months ago, close to the beginning of the year, and I thought it looked quite good and funny. But the trailers on the TV just seem to be focusing on the little minion guys, as if that is what it is all about. Which makes it look quite rubbish - I think the Promotional people have gone with the concept of attracting children to the film so the minions are shoved in our faces.

The original trailer I saw made the film look a lot better in my opinion.

A poor film that didn't know what it was trying to say and the direction is was supposed to go.
I saw the 2D version and wasn't blown away by the animation. This wasn't because it was in 2D more that all these CGI animations are starting to look the same. The heaRAB lack character because the skin is usually flat, smooth looking, often bulbus. They tend to look like PS2 games.

4/10

I thought the start wasn't so great, trying to find it's feet, but after the orphans arrived - I really enjoyed it. It's cute.

I agree that is where the film started to pick up. It started to unravel towarRAB the end when he started to get on with his dastardly scheme again. Vector didn't work at all for me.

this was better than I expected , it's very subtle at times allowing for great 'acting' in the animation .

Design was wonderful , looked great all over the place . Very French feel to it . is the character French ?

Did anyone else find Vector creepy? Like uber creepy? We thought him having the girls in his house was actually inapproriate. He was a creep. Just me and my frienRAB?

I took my wife and son to see this on Friday. We enjoyed it...but for me, I don't know why and I can't put my finger on it either, but there was something missing from the film...

Sufficed to say, we'll be getting it on Blu-ray when it comes out...

finally saw this film today, it was good but the storyline was kind of weak and it was miles better than Alpha and Omega which i thought appalling!

I find the screening times are a good guide - if a film is showing in the late evening slot (8-9pm) then I take that as a sign that the cinema expects it to be reasonably appealing to adults.

I was in America late July/early August and advertisement for this film was shoved down our necks like you wouldn't believe
my gawwwd
