Describe the calcification of piles and discuss the load bearing and transmission mechanism of each type with the aid of neat sketches.On an investigation it is found that soil consist entirely of sandy strata and is deeper than 10m.What type of foundation you will recommend?
 
Ity very hard to give you sketches on yahoo answers. but piles work by using soil friction on it sides to provide support for the structure and some bearing pressure from the area of soil under the pile. I would suggest piles, which goes down to hard rock, because leaning tower of piza was built on sand and it is tipping because it has pad foundations.
