I suffer from serious depression, which I have never actually talked to a doctor about. I guess I was just wondering if my depression could have anything to do with my acne. I don't get a whole lot, but whenever I do it never heels up and goes away properly. Is that due to a chemical irabalance or maybe even my depression?

I aslo have a broken capillarie problem and my skin tone is uneven.

Does anybody have these problems?

I don't know if this post is too late, but your depression may have something to do with your acne. Stress throws off your body (in many different ways including acne), and as you said, you're suffering from severe depression. That is probaly why your face isn't healing properly (from the ongoing stress). I suggest seeing a dermatologist and a psychiatrist. They will definetly be able to help! Good luck!

Hey,

I suffer from depression and acne as well, and I always notice a correlation when I feel more depressed it seems as though my acne gets worse. I'd highly reccommend seeing a doctor, even if its just your family practitioner about the depression. They have lots of great drugs that can help correct for what is really a chemical irabalance in your brain. I've been on lexapro for a couple of years and it has worked wonders...its like I'm a completely different person when I'm on lexapro. Not diferent in a bad way...but in a good way....I'm less stressed out, and just feel "better". Let me know if you have any questions!

It seems like when you get acne, you get a little depressed. When you get a little depressed you get more acne. When you get more acne, you get more depressed and it continues to go downhill.

I have made the correlation also. However, in my case I believe my depression and acne is linked to my hormones. Hormones effect mood, sad or moody before your period....as well as hormones effect your skin, breakout before your period, then that makes your mood even worse (which is what is happening right now). I do however realize that my mood is one thousand times better when my skin is clear.
