Deleting multiple emails on LG GW620

I don't seem to able to delete multiple email messages from my LG GW620, i.e. I have to delete each message individually - which is incredibly time consuming. Unless I've missed it, there doesn't appear to be a "select all" facility. Any ideas?
 
What version of Android is the LG running? Android didn't have the function of deleting multiple emails prior to 2.1 if i'm not mistaken.
 
Are you using gmail on your phone? If yes, Have a check the email app version and OS version and try to update the email app to a newer one, I'm now using gmail on android 2.1, and it has no this issue you posted.
