deleted photos/videos

i have the 6620 nokia and in the gallery settings i can not figure out how to delete videos there is no option all it says is video not found, also i noticed when taking pics with the camera if just keeps counting up pics i have already erased all my pics but the next one i take might be number 146 what happened to the other pics after i deleted them and why is the counter not reset to say pic 1 ?

connect it to a pc with nokia data cable and delete it off the phone from the pc
