There have been numerous complaints from Motorola Droid Razr Maxx users about how their deleted emails keep on coming back. According to various sites, the problem may stem out from the improper configuration of your Android phone email app settings. The next section will show you how to go over the problem.
[h=2]1. Check Sync of Motorola Droid Razr Maxx[/h]No matter what type of email you are using, see to it that its sync function is on. Otherwise, any changes that you will make in your email will have the tendency to be invalidated by the email provider.
[h=2]2. Hotmail Users[/h]Motorola’s customer forum offered this solution for Droid Razr Maxx Hotmail users:
a. Open the Menu.
b. Select Settings.
c. Go to Accounts & Sync.
d. Tap the Add Account option.
e. Choose Email.
f. Open Other.
g. Manually enter your email login data through Other.
h. Choose the Manual Setup button.
i. Use these configurations:
POP3 server: pop3.live.com
Port: Enter Port 995
Security type: SSL/TLS
Authentication Method: Auto
j. Hit Next.
k. Enter these:
SMTP server: smtp.live.com
Port: Enter Port – 587 (or 25 when Non-Wi-Fi)
Security type: STARTTLS
Authentication Method: Auto
l. Tap Next and determine your preferred Inbox checking frequency.
[h=2]3. Another Solution for Hotmail Users[/h]If that does not work you, try this suggestion shared by another Droid Razr Maxx user in the DroidForums. He said that the following configurations worked for him:
Incoming:
Username: \[email protected] (or @live.com)
server: m.hotmail.com
port: 443
check SSL use secure connection
Outgoing:
SMTP server: m.hotmail.com
port: 587
security type: None
require sign-in: checked
[h=3]Reminder[/h]Take note that you should use the symbols and characters as they appear. For instance, make sure that you use the backslash (\) when necessary. The solution posted by Motorola allegedly does not work on corporate account.
