Delete Everything

Can anyone tell me how to do the hard resets of all hard resets. I am out of options on trying to get my TT to work, and finally I just want to delete everything off of it and start over. I have been doing reset after reset, and deleting file after file, but they do not seem to be deleting properly. There is obviously a corrupt program or file somewhere in the system, and I think at this point the easiest thing to do would be to set it up from scratch. Thanks in advance for any input. BTW: The root of this problem is the stylus is not selecting the areas on the screen that I am pressing. I have reset graffiti and all that stuff but to no avail.

Ok to perform a hard reset you must hold down the power button while hitting the reset pin and then release the pin and when prompted push up on the Dpad.

That will clear the T back to the way it was out of the box.

Then you must go into the desktop and find your backup folder and rename it to "backupold" or something similar. Otherwise, all of that data will restore upon the first hot sync after you've hard reset.

One more step - any programs that install their own conduit such as screen shot or bonsai or Avantgo....before you hot sync you must turn the conduit off otherwise that program will be restored.

If you rename your backup folder to backupold or similar - you can then go in and retrieve any programs that are in there one at a time.

This process will of course clear the T of all memory programs but your user data will still be intact such as your contacts, calendar etc....these will restore upon the first hot sync.

The typical path on a PC for the backup folder is:

C:\program files\palm\SR (or User Name)\backup
