2 level degenerative disc disease with broad based bulg at l4/5 potentially irritating bothe l5 nerve root at l5/s1 level there is also a broad based bulge which is causing possible impingement to left s1 nerve root aswell,,

can any1 please tell me what exactly what that mean as i have no idea..

could it of been cause by car accident as i never has a sore back before, would be very greatful of any replies.. thanks :)

Were you injured in the accident/ Did you have x-rays or an MRI done right after the accident? This could be the cause.

The MRI says that the discs are degerating, and they are pressing on the nerve root that comes out between those discs. Basically it's what your doctor told you.

Have you been into to see a good back doctor? If not, I would get an appointment with one, or get a referral to one. If you have seen one, what did he say? What does he want to do?

Your other option would be to get into pain managment so that you can get the pain under control so you can lead a normal enough life again.
Good luck and keep me posted.
