Defrosted meat cooked a bit in microwave, still safe to marinate overnight?

I used the microwave yesterday to defrost some meat and it was partially cooked in some areas but still frozen in others. I marinated and covered it in the fridge overnight, planning to have it for dinner tonight as I don't want to waste the meat but I'm just a bit worried about it sitting overnight when some bits were partially cooked?
