Define A Poem? POEM HELP?

So I've been writing these little stories lately, most of them no more than say, 35 lines long? They're all kind of dark but they hold a story line nonetheless, I wanted to know, A Poem doesn't necessarily have to rhyme or anything right? Please Define a poem to me XD
