So we just bought this cute country home this yr (please don't pay attn to the landscaping, or lack of). With the holidays coming, why do I have no earthly idea how to decorate it?! You'd think the possibilities would be endless but I go blank!

I'm thinking Halloween (I have toddlers so nothing too scary), fall, Christmas.
I really want to make it beautiful for Christmas. I know I definitely want a white lighted garland w/red bows along the banisters (how can you not?!)...but what else? Would it be too much to hang something between each of the banisters? Maybe just the garland & a nice wreath will do...what do you think? All suggestions welcome
