Declaring a History Minor?

I am in my 3rd year in college. I am now just delcaring History for my Minor. I need 18 credit hours to fulfill this minor requirement. I have taken 2 Western Civilization classes (6 credit hours) already to satisfy my Lower Division requirement for my Major. I was curious if these 6 credit hours that I've taken already can be used towards my 18 credit hour requirement for my History Minor?
