I know we don't know what the new iphone will look like or offer but I am on the fence which way I should go. (Bell Canada)

here is what I have so far for pros and cons: (please add to my list if you have any suggestions)

IPHONE:Pros: icloud, tons of apps, the look

Cons: itunes, having to jailbreak to tweak, too simplified for beginners

GALAXY:

Pros: microUSB, doubletwist, screensize, integration with gmail,
tweaking without rooting, plays any video

Cons: not as glamorous

Using a Galaxy S2 right now, and I will tell you right now its a real glamour phone in the way it catches people's attention. In all the time I've been using the Galaxy/Nexus S, and now the Galaxy S2, I always have people come up to me and ask me what it is, or overhear people mumble about it.

When I watch movies, sitting in the theater just before the movie begins, I can see people tweeting, messaging or updating their fFacebook on their smartphones and its easy to catch the Samsungs from their screen brilliance.

As for apps, there are tons in the Android Market, well well beyond what most people will really need.

I'd wait for the iPhone 5 personally, although you probably can't go wrong with either.

Sure, the GSII has a Super AMOLED display and while it may be larger than the upcoming iPhone 5 display, it is using yesterday's resolution. The iPhone will also receive timely software updates whereas with the GSII you are at AT&T's beck and call.

Yeah, if you're comparing between the iPhone 5 and GSII, then I would wait to see what the iPhone 5 has to offer first, then make your decision.

Good luck!

I have had my Galaxy S 2 for about a week now,(Viaero, Northeast Colorado) and I love this phone. My only problem with it so far is battery life. I'm bearly making it through the work day and I need to charge it again. This phone isn't what I would consider an "average user" phone... I mean, you don't need 1080p recording on a phone you make just plain calls and surf the web with... I'm still finding new features every day! And if you're worried about cloud storage, Google has stuff in the works as well. Google music and docs are both out, but you need an invite for music. And if you don't like that, find an old computer lying around and install a version of Ubuntu on it. With a Ubuntu one account, you can get 2 gigs of free storage.

Of course, I don't know how well the phone will work in the long run and I have heard that Iphones age VERY well. I don't have any stock in apple at the moment. Using the Google music beta, I have completely washed myself from Apple.

Just remember, If you wait for the best phone to come out, a better one is just around the corner. Decide on a phone and stick with it. Otherwise you'll never get a new phone.
