Hi, im a 27 year old female who has been having back pain on and off since i was 16. In the last three years it has become unbearable, i can't walk sometimes, i have nurabness, shooting pain and what i can only describe as a feeling of being electrocuted from my butt to my toes. My doctor says i have partial sacrilization of l5 on s1 and this defect made me prone to spondylisthesis of l4 which is what has happened. I am athletic, or at least i was till the pain took over, now i just walk in the pool with arthritis sufferers (Im a little out of place). I have tried every non surgical option from physio, yoga, massage to acupuncture. I even let some lady try to get the negative energy out of me, and i am not into that stuff lol. I saw an orthepedic surgeon who says he's good at doing lurabar fusions and is recommending that step for me. i am just starting my career but on the other side i really want to get back to being me and hopefully play sports again, the pain is unbearable. I guess i'm looking for some advise or stories, successful or otherwise. Should i go for it? What are the odRAB of me gaining normalcy in my life if i get the surgery? If you got anything advise i will take it. I'm way too young for this.
