Debating- 'Public figures have the right to private lives' Points against moot...

...please!?! =) Thanks=D? Would love some points to back up the argument; 'Public figures DO NOT have the right to private lives'...
 
When an individual decides on a career that puts them in a position of power and/or influence over the masses, they are aware that there actions have a profound impact on society therefore they become a sort of model for people within society. If someone is a model for society then society should have the right to scrutinize how they live their life. If they were allowed a private life then how would anyone know if they really are true to the image they present or that they are not abusing there power.
