Debating on Arthur's middle name for my favorites list. WDYT? Arthur Joel,

Arthur Davis, or Arthur Bennett? If you could give your thoughts on each combination individually, then pick your single favorite of the three, that would be GREAT!

No suggestions, please.

When it comes to Arthur Joel, please don't choose it JUST because of the nickname option AJ, because I personally wouldn't consider it. I dislike AJ. Just letting you know. :)
Kris ~ Oh, stating your own personal favorites was perfectly fine. I just didn't want suggestions myself, since I already have three I really like. :)
Oh, and Arthur Dean sounds awesome! And I must admit that Arthur Grant has a nice sound to it (despite that I greatly dislike Grant myself).
 
Off the bat, I would say Arthur Joel is my least favorite combination. I feel that Arthur is best paired with a name with a 'hard' consonent - such as D, B, V, G - since it does not contain these sounds itself. I find those names tend to make a male name sound strong. Perhaps this is why I love names such as Donovan, Dean, Davis, etc. Either Davis or Bennett would truly work, so it comes down to personal preference (I love both Davis and Bennett, so it's hard to select one). If I was forced to choose, I would pick Arthur Davis - I think just because the names contrast very well.

EDIT: I personally like the nickname Art for Arthur, if you were to use one. I know a guy Arthur who uses that nickname, and it works nicely. My personal favorite middle name for Arthur would be Arthur Dean or Arthur Grant (Sorry I know you said no suggestions)
 
Arthur Davis is the best of the bunch.

But come on, Arthur? You REALLY wanna do that to some poor kid? Why don't you just name him "Beat Me Senseless".
 
Arthur Joel- I'm not a fan of Joel, and not a fan of this combo.

Arthur Davis- Sophisticated and spunky. I like it!

Arther Bennett- Sophisticated, but a bit stuffy. But I still like it!

I like Arthur Davis best. I LOVE the name Arthur!
