Please list any points that may come in handy to use in the debate. Whenever possible, include both the affirmative and negative side of the argument. Thanks.
I think this is not literal - it probably means dying with your own pride and dignity or living when on your knees - like as a cruelly-treated slave etc.

Living on your knees is no way to live. It attacks the psyche and harms us in innumerable ways.

Dying on your feet leaves you with your dignity and your sense of self-worth intact. Whereas living on your knees makes you a spineless groveler. No dignity left there.

Without our basic sense of self worth and dignity, what is the point of existing? It is contrary to our basic nature to live thus.

Alternatively, living is the strongest human drive. How can we possibly give up our precious life when we could trade it for life on our knees. Is dignity so important that we cannot live without it?

Is it not better to keep existing in any manner than to lose that most precious gift of life? Isn't the point of life to live it?

The final thought is that life is precious and it all comes down to this: what quality must we have in life for it to be worth living?
