Tomorrow is a festival and parade and I was gonna take my two month old daughter. Its suppose to be between 59 and 65 degrees. She's wear pants and two long sleeve shirts and a hat of course and I'm gonna keep blankets on her.

Do you think it will be ok to take her out?

She's a hot natured baby anyways.

Baby's temperatures are very similar to an adults. Its a myth that they need to be bundled up much more than an adult. Overheating a baby can make the baby just as uncomfortable as it being too cold (as long as we're not talking hypothermia).

If you're dressed in pants, two long sleeve shirts and a hat and comfortable she should be as well. Just make sure you have more blankets and maybe a coat with you in case her toes or fingers ever feel cool. If you occasionally touch her head, fingers and toes and they don't feel cool then she should be fine.

Maybe limit the amount of time you're outdoors though. I wouldn't recommend spending 5 hours outside with a 2 month old. Maybe an hour or two would be fine as long as you keep checking her temp.

Hope this helped and have fun =)

As long as she is warm enough it is fine. But just be careful about loud noises in the parade. Like if they have fire trucks come by blowing horns or bands that are very noisy. That can hurt your babies ears and really upset them. If you hear that coming I would walk away and then come back when it dies down again.

put a coat on her also and she should be fine make sure she has socks and shoes on so her feet dont get cold and make sure she is completly covered the whole time and do not keep her out for too long

Yes of course. We started taking out out son to malls, parks and museums from 6 weeks.

Call the pediatrician and ask their opinion. Mine said no taking her out for 8 weeks, and I had a very healthy baby. My reservation would be if she hasn't had her vaccinations yet I probably wouldn't because of crowds and all the people germs, not the weather. If you do, dress her in layers and keep her head covered. I'm from a warm climate as well and 59 degrees seems like arctic chill to me but I don't think its really all that cold.

that does not sound too cold, at least where i am that actually sounds warm right now. lol. i would think as long as she is dressed properly it would be fine, as long as its not windy or rainy. as with any event, dont stay too long and keep a close eye on her incase she seems uncomfortable. enjoy the festival

what state are you from??
and 2 months is kind of early to take out
for a festival & despite the temp newborns are
effected in all types of weather.. 59-65 is kool
depending what state ur in but make sure ur baby is
bundled up.. even if u think she will be too hot..
thats better than her getting sick..

Dress her in ONE MORE laye than you're warm wearing, and a blanet. Anymore can cause overheating her.

It depends on how old your child is. I wouldn't if she was under 6 months old. If you do make sure you keep her covered, especially her head and ears.
