I'm 13 so don't tell me spelling errors or anything, I'm still working out the kinks. Both of these I wrote in just a couple minutes. So this is my debate between beginnings, the first one is narrated by the main character who is a little older then 10:
"Patience! Get up!" my mom called.
I glanced at my alarm clock. 6:30! I should have gotten up half an hour ago! I flung open my drawers and grabbed the first thhings I layer my hands on: a pair of blue jeans, and a random tie-died T-shirt I made at Addy's, my best friend, birthday party last year.
After quickly getting dressed I flew down the stairs.
"How's the Birthday girl?" my mom asked as I started to shovel down cereal that thankfully my mom cared enough to pour.
"Great," I mumbled with a mouthful of sugary goodness.
"Ryan, you get up too!" my mom hollered up the stairs to my 16 year old brother...
Or one from when she was older:
Hi, I'm Dandelion (I'll explain my name later) and recently, my brother passed away. Before you aww and say "I'm sorry" or whatever, don't. I am not here for your sympathy but I'm here to fulfill my brothers dying wish.*
A few years before my brother died, I explained him something that no mortal had heard. A couple weeks ago, on his deathbed, he asked me to share it to the world. I of course agreed but struggled onto where to start. I finally decided to start towards the end, not the very end but a couple years ago, a rainy afternoon I decided to go see my brother.*
So, which one do you like better and why?
