Debating between getting a Blackberry 8320?

im actually in the process of buying a new phone and i've been leaning towards the blackberry 8320 but the mandatory 30 dollar fee (i believe its the email one) discourages me, would i have to pay the 30 if i want the blackberry 8320, i'm more of the calling and text gal, what plan would be best? and to what company (verizon, sprint, t-mobile, etc..) should i get the plan with for a more inexpensive service?

Does anybody have any suggestions?
