Obama advisers acknowledged Wednesday that Osama Bin Laden would be extended Habeas Corpus rights if the al Qaeda leader were brought to Guantanamo Bay.
They're going to confer rights on enemy combatants, which we've never done before in history.!!! And now with
terrorist involved in 9/11, that somehow They should get the same rights as an American citizen? A bunch of habeas corpus and treat them like us. These guys want to cut off our heads and blow us into bits.They are TERERESTS NOT AMERICAN CITIZENS !!! And after they fly OUR planes into OUR buildings and killing OUR children in cold blood , HE (Osama Bin Laden ) is responsible for murdering 3,000 people.These peope don't apply to the Geneva Convention! It's astounding to me to take somebody like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and try to compare him to a United States citizen .
I just can't belive that this is really happening already.I thought that it was going to get bad,but NOT this soon.

Shame on the Dems!and this is an effort to bring foreign policy experience to a candidate who has served just three years in Congress.

Death for babies, life for murderers
Punish the rich and upper middle class (those with ability) and reward the poor and inept (those without)
Gay marriage is an equal rights issue but polygamy is not event if it's two consenting adults
Monopolies bad - government monopolies good

First, the people who attacked us on 9/11 are all dead. None of the people in Guantanimo Bay are in any way guilty for 9/11. That being said, 'enemy combatants' is a made up word SO THAT we can hold people indefinately without charge or trial...so that we can override the Geneva Convention regulations. I would ask you to question if--say an american soldier went to Iraq and killed or threatened to kill or even was believed to be a soldier for the US was held indefinately in a foreign country with frequent abuse, without charges and with disregard for his rights under the Geneva Convention. Perhaps they change his role from POW to 'evil american' so that they don't have to adhere to the Geneva Convention. I think you would want them to let this soldier go, or to at least give him a trial....a fair one if possible. Now, imagine 500 soldiers in Iraqi custody without charges, without a trial, without any date for release....we would be furious....which is why we are asking for others to treat us the way that we treat them. If we do not adhere to the Geneva Convention, how can we expect other countries to adhere to it? We can't.
