I am a retired Police Officer from the Ca. Az. Mexico Border. I worked with the Border Patrol and DEA everyday. I have detained and turned over to the Border Patrol illegal aliens from every country in the world. Several times a week I would detain pregnant women from Mexico that were a few days from delivering. The most common excuse I got for them coming across the border illegally was that America gave you money for children. It was not uncommon for me to detain and turn over an illegal early in my shift. They would be processed and returned to Mexico and walk a few blocks down their street and go through the hole in the fence and later in my shift I would detain the same illegal again and once again within hours of turning them over to Border Patrol. I get amused by those that think all the illegals that come here are farm workers. They claim that they do the work Americans won't. Has anyone heard of the Farm Workers Union. Farm wages are really pretty good. Those that I detained were heading north to the cities. The estimate in inner Los Angeles is over one million. The estimate for Ca. alone is three million. The cost in hospital closings, Social Services, crime and the 24 billion that is sent back to Mexico is draining of our economy.
