Debate student needs help with Civil Disobedience debate?

Do you have a specific resolution? If so, you should give us the exact wording. That will help.

Off the top of my head, I'd say find a definition of Civil Disobedience that DOESN'T say it's noviolent....and then define violence loosely.
 
I got my Gallbladder removed so I missed a few weeks of school. I'm trying to catch up in Debate. We are debating whether or not Civil Disobedience is violent or not. I have to argue it IS Violent. But I'm confused because the majority of the definitions I read of Civil Disobedience specifically say its non-violent. So how can I argue something is violent when part of committing the act is not being violent?
