Someone just wrote me a very hateful email saying they "disagreed" with my homosexuality, and I was wrong in refuting her point on a question - so therefore I'm hateful. O kaayy.
Why do people on that side seem to think this is some kind of friendly debate?
Why on earth is it all right for someone to think it's OK to have a "differing view" of my orientation than it is for a white supremist to have a "differing view" of the color of say an African American's skin?
That is outrageous. It's just bigoted. Why do they think this is somehow more acceptable that they can have a debate about someone else's sexuality? And then somehow get offended when they are counterattacked?
I honestly cannot understand the logic here. I guess because I've never felt the need to "debate" whether it was OK for someone to be brown skinned, or blue eyed, or blond, or right handed ... or in any other way different from me. People simply are. What gives them the idea that they should have a God given right to have an opinion on everyone else without being rebuked?
Thius - read the Bible some time instead of using it as a weapon. The parts about love and grace. Speaking as a devout Christian, btw.
