Debate on monday--please help!?

i am a senior, and we are going to have a debate on monday, my group is the REPUBLICANS and the opposing group is the DEMOCRATS...

they are going to ask this question:
"Health care is too expensive, and many americans dont have it, Why do you support private healthcare?"

it makes sense to me but i need more opinions.

please post your ideas/opinion...

Well I am a Dem and all I can tell you is Insurance companies without over site (Rep took it out 14 years ago) give Insurance companies the rights to let people die because it cost to much money to help them. It also empowers insurance companies to be able to kick people out because they get sick. In my opinion is that if you don't have over site business will do the best thing for business and that is the bottom line. Insurance companies have and do kill people over money.
 
Universal healthcare will eliminate the Freedom of Choice. You will be told what doctor to see and what medicine to take. The government will have access to all your medical records.
