So I have to do this debate about Malcolm X. The topic is heroism, and I am for Malcolm X, debating that he is a hero. The opposing side is debating that he is a villain.
I don't know very much about debates, and I'm wondering a few things:
1) How do I write a debate speech? (My teacher just says I need an intro, three paragraphs, and a conclusion, but do I need counter-arguments?)
2) How do I defend the things that the negative people will say? I know they will say Malcolm X was violent and went to prison, but what is something legitimate enough that I can find a source for and put in my speech?
3) I need a visual aid for my speech...?
This will not be a source for me, I just need to get started because I am very confused. Thank You!!!
