Deb, how are you feeling today? Did going slightly back on the Cyrabalta help with those horrible side effects? I hope and pray that you can beat this and successfully go off of the Cyrabalta, without any more of those terrifying side effects. I also pray that the new medication will help with your severe nerve pain! Thank you for being here for all of us, even when you were at your worst pain!

Thanks Tam, you are such a sweetheart
Yes, I started back on the Cyrabalta at the same dose that I was on before I discontinued it. I do feel better.....but I guess the dose is so low that by late afternoon I'm feeling those same withdrawal symptoms, just not as severe as this past week-end. So I will keep decreasing ever so slowly and hopefully it won't intensify.
I'm looking forward to starting the Nortriptyline, the nerve pain has been pretty bad over the past few days. I hope it works....I am a little nervous about starting any drug right now....getting off this one has been rough!
Thanks Tam for caring!

Deb

i do wish you luck deb, really, this has just been a merry go round for way too long for you.did your doc say that you had to be completely off the cym to taper onto the nor?i would think it would be much easier on you to atually start onto one med while still at the tail end of the other, you know what i mean?this way your brain isn't left with nothing.this is what my PM usually does when i have been tapering off one to go onto another, you start the new one before your brain is completely depleted of the other, its usually just a much smoother transistion for you.if i were you hon,i would actually go and speak with your pharmacist about trying it this way just to get that knowlegable opinion then speak with your doc about it,already having the hard facts in hand because you spoke with a real pharm about it,ya know?you may or may not actually be able to do this with these drugs but getting that info directly from your pharm really would be the best way to really know what your real options are here.ifthis is indeed possible,it would just be soo much easier for you.the pharmacist would just really know much more about this than any doc really would, espescially "your" PM doc?again deb, good luck, marcia
