Detroit auto industry is still around

Please point me to where I said the TX oil industry will be as strong in 200 years as it is today?

I have oil heat
I'm going to fill my tank this week even though I dont need it til winter. Would fill a spare too if I had it
 
my point wasn't that detriot auto industry is still around or not. it's that it is ridiculous to predict what will happen in 200 years. you have absolutely no idea what our economy is going to be based on, the kind of laws that will be in effect then, or whether america will even be a country in the same way that it is now.

that's why predicting that the texas oil industry will exist in 200 years is a retarded statement.
