Dealer cost of Mazda 5?

My buddy is offering me his Ford discount to buy a Mazda 5. What is the cost of a Mazda 5? I hear you can get the same deal just by pushing the dealer.
Do you think I should wait for the auto industry to tank and than buy a car?
 
Employee deals aren't that great.

My advice- get a one-year or two-year lease return. People treat leased cars better than the normal consumer- and someone else took the HUGE depreciation hit.
