Dead T3

I have a T3 that died. It won't take a hard or soft reset. If it does turn on it stays at the initial Palm screen and nothing more. I need to replace it. I use pocket quickens and calendar and contacts in Palm desktop and that is about it. Any suggestions on what to get? Palm wants $200.00 to repair the T3 even though I like it a lot I don't think I would do that. Thanks for your suggestions.

My T3 did the same thing. I even had to suffer a Windows Mobile smartphone for several months, as Palm refuses to sell anything to people living in Greenland.
Now on holyday in Europe i have bought the TX and am slowly filling it up with the "old" software. Until now I have not found any piece of software, which did not work, except of course Jack Sprat, which depends on a different layout of memory.
An additional advantage with the TX is, that it does not collapse on you, when you shake it a little.
I can recommend the change and have happily reduced the Windows device to secondary cellphone to be used, if my primary phone fails.
By the way: should the TX be mentioned as "TX" or as T ten"? I have often wondered if the X is a roman number?

We had 2 T3 here to replace, because battery was on the end of life cycle. I replaced them with 2 TX and am quite happy about the change after all.

One new software I installed on both right at the beginning was Uninstall Manager. Highly recommended!

Actually not really; I just started everyhing anew from scratch. I started with the Palm TX Security Update and the DST Updater; and the CradlePatch (this one is for the birds on my Palms); then installed BackupMan, and then Uninstall Manager and Cleanup. Everything else came afterwards. Recently I added also NGUndo 1.02 - that's real cool in company with the UM.
