Dead end

They were all killed except the young girl.

I think myself it must have had something to do with the original woman ghost & her baby, no one knew about her death, so the other family members lives were taken in place of the ghost except the young pregnant girl of the family.

Eventually they are led to the hospital, and the signs keep saying the name which you only find out at the end, so I assume its a message once you are on that road only 1 place you will end up.

But now actually I am confused. That surely can't be the point of the story, as the nurse name was the name they kept heading to.

See if anyone else can understand the storyline lol.

At the end, when the young girl is in the hospital, the nurse there leaves & the guy in the classic car says to her whats your name before she leaves with him & its the same name as the place which kept on being signposted.

However, maybe it had something to do with all them having done something wrong, except the yound girl.

Her brother well, we will keep clean, her father had an affair once & her mother had her son with different guy but not sure what bad the young lady boyfriend could have done.

Basically they were all dead. The family, the "ghosly" woman and the baby. The families car hit the woman with the baby, the impact killed them all (except the daughter of the family).

What we in the film is them in limbo, awaiting whatever the next life is. They're oblivious to the fact they've died however, and the car that drives past is a collection man of sorts, transporting the deceased from limbo into the afterlife.

As the others have said, the place they were heading to turns out to be the nurse's name, the one who recusitates the daughter. I assume the whole trying to get to the town of the same name, was the young woman's unconcious, and her trying to survive, and not die as the others did.

Not sure about why the nurse was approached by the collector at the end. I'm guessing this was just put in as a snappy ending, as opposed to having anything to do with the plot.

Overall, the film is just a metaphor for how people might cross over into death. In the film, they weren't aware they were dead, and it took a while for the daughter to figure out what exactly had happened and why everyone was being abducted
