Just got back from Biketoberfest in Daytona and thought I share a few pictures.
The white 999 wrecked big time in practice but the rider is ok, the next day he did race the 8 hours of Daytona on a nother bike that was assembled over night. Guess the megeld wreck pictured below tells it all.
Out of the few teams running the 8 hours of Daytona on a Paul Smart Ducati, one of the riders did run 5.5 hours total on the bike and they ended up 2nd in their class. Heads up to this guy , not an easy task to do. ( Sorry no pictures, happy hour was going on while they were running )
The Bimota did finish 1st place in the CCS event in it's class- Congratulations to Kevin ( if you read this)
I totaly missed where the 1098 finished.
The 996 ran into some shift problems but was fixed quickly.
Some Gsxr's were so hot they even caught fire
Some sessions were in the dry but most of the time it was wet and heads up to these guy's running the banking in the rain.
By the way, who said you can't fit two Hypermotards and one 1098 in the same hotel room?
Next time I want to see a stretched 1098 there, so who will be the first to do it?
