Day 26 of my cycle and negative preg test?

I am due for my period this Sundayish....I took a preg test this morning and it was negative. I am bummed bc we had sex on the days i thought were my most fertile. This is our first month of trying and I know it takes couples sometimes up to a year to concieve. Has anyone ever taken a preg test 3 days before period and have a neg result and then later find out you were pregnant?! Wishful thinking on my behalf:)
i did take the 5 days sooner preg test from cvs namebrand
 
I think it's still too early for an accurate pregnancy test so you still may be pregnant. Wait until at least Monday to test (then it's 99.9% accurate) or Tuesday if you can.
 
you tested to early if AF doesn't show up on on moday when your offically late then you can test. if you are pregnant your HCG levels might not be high enough yet. good luck baby dust
 
If you're due Sunday, with a normal 14 day luteal phase, then you're only 12DPO which may be too early for a positive test. If your luteal phase is even shorter than 14 days, say around 12 days, then you could still only be 10DPO which is definitely too early. Some women never test potivie until their period is late. Until the witch shows you have a chance xx
